As the electromagnetic force is limited, theoretically, there will be an upper limit for the force pushing the valve core, which will affect the maximum flow and pressure of the hydraulic valve.

When selecting the solenoid directional valve, many people simply think that the nominal maximum pressure and maximum flow can be reached at the same time, but the actual situation is that in some cases, the solenoid valve cannot operate normally under the maximum flow or maximum pressure.

The reason is that each solenoid valve has a power limit, which is not actually determined by the nominal maximum flow and maximum pressure.

Here, we will introduce the concept of "power domain". For a fixed electromagnet, its maximum power is a fixed value. The electromagnetic force will also have a maximum value, and in most cases, this electromagnetic force cannot ensure that the electromagnetic directional valve works under the maximum pressure and flow.

The valve can only operate normally in the power range. Note: when the liquid flow direction is different, the power domain is also different; Normally closed or normally open will also result in different success rate domains. Therefore, the next time you choose a solenoid valve, you must pay attention to the power domain of the solenoid valve. If it is a three position four-way electromagnetic directional valve, its middle position function will also make the success rate domain different.
